Effect of covid-19 on outdoor recreation.
It has been a year and almost half now since the emergency of Corona virus, things escalated from good to worst in that period. There were many guidelines put in place to curb the spreading of the disease. One of these was the imposed lockdown in almost every country. Many people were not able to walk to their jobs or go for outdoor recreation like they used to. This was mostly for the old, people with existing diseases and even the impaired. This people together with, children and drug addicts who are looking for means to recover from drug abuse are people you can find on outdoor recreation. Since the lockdown was imposed areas like recreational centers were forced to close or operate on low number of people. In these article we are going to look at the effect of the corona pandemic on the recreational industry.
- Loss of jobs.
After the outbreak of Covid-19, many people working on recreational centers were forced to leave their jobs for their safety and more so the lack of clients due to the lockdown. Since recreational areas have Inspire Play playground sets where you can get all the kind of recreation you need in the playing ground, it meant there were also reasonable number of people working on these area that lost their jobs. However, this is not lasting forever as some part of the world are beginning to enjoy outdoor services but not in large crowds.
- More accumulated stress.
AS many people were on lockdown, they felt lonely and stress accumulated in them. They needed recreational centers more to socialize with people but it wasn’t the right time. This meant people were living in fear of the pandemic and the alarming deaths from the disease living their life in tension.
- Low income.
Some people depended on recreational business for their need, now that the outdoor recreation was no longer operating or was operating in low number of people it meant their income became low. This could traumatize someone especially if you had that one source of income.
Just like the other businesses the recreation sector was affected both directly and indirectly which also affected the general economy of the world. People could not travel to tourist sites and other camping sites where they could have fun. The whole world was left in darkness as their people were dying from the pandemic and the others lonely in their homes.
